Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) seeks multiple Temporary Snow Plow Operators in and around Riverton, South Pass, Dubois, Lander and Lovell to perform winter snow plow operations and highway maintenance under limited supervision. This temporary, full-time position could last up to 9 months.

Responsibilities include operating snow plows and related equipment, performing traffic control, and maintaining roadways with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates core and complex equipment safely and proficiently.
• Performs duties involved in removing snow and ice from roadways.
• Utilizes special computerized equipment.
• Flags traffic and sets up traffic control devices under limited supervision.
• Operates single and tandem-axle trucks equipped with plows, wing plows, a sander, and chemical systems to remove snow and ice from roadway surfaces.
