Job summary

DK Security, Michigan’s security provider, seeks a frontline officer to support client staff, visitors, and coworkers with professional conduct. You will observe, report, patrol, and manage access control across assigned locations while maintaining a safe environment for all employees and visitors.

Training and certifications may be required to ensure readiness for emergencies and liaison with client teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Armed security eligibility requires Michigan CPL/LEOSA and 21+.
• Able to pass drug screening (including marijuana) per federal rules.
• No felonies or disqualifying misdemeanors per state law.
• Able to stand/walk 8-12 hours and lift up to 70 lbs for armed work.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certified or willing to become certified.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Professional conduct and strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: reflect the company positively to staff, visitors, and coworkers.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: maintain professional appearance and stand guard in lobbies and reception areas.
• Security Officer: conduct foot and vehicle patrols as assigned.
• Access Control: verify IDs and prevent unauthorized entry.
• Safety Patrol: enforce site policies and report safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies, provide CPR/First Aid/AED as needed.
• Security Liaison: communicate with client staff and site supervisor about requests.
