Job summary

Newfields is seeking a security team member for the outdoor, part-time seasonal role from August through January. The position requires standing and patrolling the grounds during evenings, weekends, and holidays to protect guests and property.

Hourly compensation starts at $14.00 with safety training provided. Applicants should be observant, customer-service oriented, and able to follow all security procedures while representing Newfields professionally.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the public and museum staff to provide a safe, welcoming experience for all guests.
• Assist guests with general inquiries and rules.
• Represent Newfields in a professional, customer-service oriented manner.
• Address unsafe behaviors or interactions during events and report incidents.
• Post and roam Lilly House areas, observing guests and artwork to deter damage.
• Monitor and assist with fire pits and warming stations during events.
• Work independently while following security policies to protect guests and property.
• Stand or walk outside for extended periods and remain alert during shifts.
