Job summary

R.D. Offutt Farms is seeking a Seasonal General Support - Scale House Attendant to manage the truck weigh station during the seasonal harvest. You will ensure trucks are scaled before and after unloading and direct traffic to unloading zones, while organizing scale documents and inputting data accurately.

This role offers discretionary bonus and opportunities for growth within the organization. Hourly wage ranges from $15 to $18, with on-site work during harvest.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Up to one month of related experience or training preferred.
• Willingness to constantly work outside.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the positions with or without accommodation.
• Walking on uneven ground at the farm locations.
• Must be able to work overtime during harvest season or as the need arises.
• Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Scale harvest trucks in and out by utilizing the auto scale program, GradeStar Receiving.
• Track and reconcile loads received by location and organize scale tickets.
• Direct truck drivers to the appropriate destination whether it be to the field, storage, or raw receiving.
• Effectively communicate between truck drivers, field managers, raw receiving, and bin managers throughout the shift.
• Maintain full coverage of their shift throughout the entire harvest timeframe.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to work under high paced work environment.
