Job summary

Legent Health in Carrollton, TX is seeking an RN PREOP PACU PAT for a full-time temporary assignment from September to December. The role involves managing inbound pre-operative patients, ensuring quality screening, and supporting post-anesthetic care in the PACU.

You will perform pre-admission testing, assist with IV starts, monitor vitals, document findings, and help educate patients and families about procedures and recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active CPR certification.
• Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
• 2-3 Years’ experience as a in critical care nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-admission testing and intake assessment.
• Perform tests ordered by surgeon, including an EKG, and draw blood for labs.
• Educate patients about the process and post-surgical care plan.
• Manage admissions to preoperative department and verify patient identity.
• Record vitals and initiate IVs for surgical readiness.
• Assess postoperative status and monitor vitals.
• Document findings and maintain patient comfort.
• Develop individualized care plans and communicate changes to doctors.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and medications.
