Job summary

Legent Health is seeking a RN PREOP PACU PAT (PRN) in Plano, TX. The role focuses on preoperative screening, PACU recovery care, and coordinating care through the perioperative process.

You will guide patients from anesthesia recovery, manage IVs, vitals, and post‑operative orders while supporting patient education and safety plans. Qualified candidates have a nursing degree, active Texas license, CPR certification, and 2–3 years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active CPR certification.
• Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
• 2-3 Years’ experience as a in critical care nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-admissions Testing Nurse Duties: oversee intake and initial assessment with medical history.
• PAT duties include EKGs and blood draws as needed.
• Explain processes to patients and discuss post-surgical care plan.
• Preoperative Duties: manage admission processes to preoperative department and verify patient identification and consent.
• Post-operative Duties: assess condition after surgery, monitor vitals, document findings, and ensure patient comfort.
• Develop individualized care plans and communicate changes to the medical team.
