Job summary

Legent Health in Austin, TX is hiring a full-time RN for PAT/PreOp/PACU responsibilities. You will manage inbound pre-operative patients, ensure quality pre-operative screening, and assist post-anesthetic care in the PACU.

The role includes PAT duties, preoperative admissions, IV starts, vital signs, and post-operative monitoring. Strong communication with surgical teams and patient/family education are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
• 2-3 Years’ experience as a in critical care nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-admissions Testing Nurse Duties: oversee intake and initial physical assessment; obtain medical history.
• Preoperative duties: manage admissions and identify vasculature, IV access.
• Post-operative duties: monitor vitals, manage pain and comfort, and document findings.
