Job summary

Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Flex Pool to deliver adaptable, evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units, including medical-surgical, orthopedic, and progressive care settings.

The position is temporary to support hospital needs during peak seasons, with a 36-hour work week, on-site night schedule, and obligation to work holiday shifts. Requires NC or Compact RN license, BLS; ACLS preferred; 2 years acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Associated Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute care nursing experience required.
• Intermediate or Intensive Care experience preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under physician direction and documents care plans.
• Provides nursing care aligned with standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prioritizes and manages care for patients with varying acuity; facilitates discharge planning.
• Collaborates with peers to enhance clinical operations and communication.
• Assesses complex needs and plans care including education and safety considerations.
• Maintains patient/family communication and educates; participates in professional development.
