Job summary

IKEA in the United States is seeking a Retail Store Associate who will float between departments to ensure a seamless shopping experience. You will actively assist customers, keep shelves stocked, and contribute to our friendly, helpful store environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area tidy, priced and fully stocked; follow IKEA merchandising standards to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Convey passion for IKEA products and learn their features to help customers make informed choices.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food items; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will:

• - Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• - Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
• - Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.
• - Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• - Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• - Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• - Flow product to final selling location.
• - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• - Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• - Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

The pay range for this role is $18.50 - $26.14 based on Ikea equivalent years of experience
