IKEA is hiring Seasonal Retail Store Associates for full-time, in-store roles. You will rotate across departments, assist customers, maintain merchandising standards, and support food service operations. Training and a positive, inclusive team environment are emphasized.

Expect approximately 90–180 days of open availability, with pay ranging from $18.50 to $26.14 per hour based on experience. Benefits and co-worker programs are highlighted for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail experience.
• Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensure merchandise standards are maintained.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and learn features to help customers make informed choices.
• Build furniture as needed for new products and remodels.
• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food items; serve all Food menu items; follow safe food-handling guidelines.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide a smooth returns and exchange experience.

What you'll be doing day to day

As a Retail Store Associate, floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience, you will:

• Actively approach customers requiring additional help, identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes.
• Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked. Ensures that the IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times to give customers a positive shopping experience.
• Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits, sharing this knowledge with customers to help them make informed choices, resulting in a better overall shopping experience.
• Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels.
• Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items; serve all IKEA Food menu items; follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at the point of receiving.
• Flow product to final selling location.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience.
• Provide the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience.

ANTICIPATED START DATE: Early November

We are hiring: 10 Seasonal full-time associates, requires full open availability for 90-180 days.

The pay range for this role is $18.50 - $26.14 based on Ikea equivalent years of experience
