Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is hiring for a Store Associate in Chesapeake, VA. You will deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience with accurate cash handling.

You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram execution, support BOPIS/SFS processes, and assist with merchandise recovery to maintain an in-stock, well-merchandised store. Applicants must be 16+ and able to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Friendly, helpful and respectful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
• Handle checkout and cash transactions to standards.
• Promote and enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Support truck unloading, stocking and planogram execution.
• Participate in store recovery and in-stock maintenance.
