Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking Seasonal Sales Associates for the New York Transit Museum stores, online, and pop-up venues. This part-time role requires 21.5–30 hours weekly with weekend and holiday shifts; the position supports ticketing, merchandise sales, and membership activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1-3 years of retail experience preferred
• Previous experience in sales, cash handling, and customer service preferred
• Visual Merchandising experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct normal retail operations such as sales, cash handling, and fiscal reconciliation.
• Serve as the face of the Museum and the MTA by being a resource on product information and Museum programs.
• Support Visitor Services by assisting in ticket sales and membership sales at the Museum admission booth.
• Be knowledgeable in book and gift merchandise and advise customers on store products.
• Help with phone orders or online orders, including picking and packing, as needed.
