Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a part-time HomeGoods associate in San Rafael, CA to deliver a high-quality customer experience and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

You will engage with customers, promote credit and loyalty programs, and support cross-functional store operations to meet business needs. You should be able to lift items, multitask, and adapt to changes while working with peers and supervisors in a fast-paced retail setting.

• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Model and deliver established customer experience practices with both internal and external customers
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer per operating procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Maintain merchandising philosophy and follow procedures and standards
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day
• Maintain cleanliness and recovery standards for the sales floor and store
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
