Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Gig Harbor is seeking a Seasonal Customer Service Team Member to help customers shop, unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain store presentation. Must be comfortable standing, lifting, and working varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include fast, friendly checkout, engagement with rewards programs, and supporting omnichannel processes (BOPIS and SFS). Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Lifting heavy boxes and reaching high shelves; willingness to use a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and find what they’re looking for.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Assist with truck unloading, stocking, and planograms; maintain store appearance and recovery to meet brand standards.
• Engage customers on rewards programs, enrollments for Private Label Credit Cards, and VOC surveys.
• Support omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
