Job summary

Kohl's is seeking an Associate to deliver excellent customer service at the point of sale and through customer service processes. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle payments while upholding Kohl’s standards.

Responsibilities include meeting goals, supporting inventory accuracy, and training new hires. A flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. No retail experience is needed beyond a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• No retail experience required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with products, operate a cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle payments.
• Execute POS and customer service standards accurately and efficiently.
• Meet or exceed individual goals (e.g., credit, loyalty).
• Support inventory accuracy through POS and merchandise disposition practices.
• Help train new service-team hires on procedures and brand standards.
• Participate in daily service processes (register balancing, replenishing supplies).
• Act with integrity and foster teamwork in an inclusive culture.
• Exercise good judgment and involve partners as needed.
• Maintain customer-service mindset and resolve issues.
• Handle multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Respond to directions from supervisors and other personnel.
