Ocean State Job Lot is hiring for a Seasonal Peak Associate to support store operations during peak periods. This on-site role covers register support, freight receiving, and product merchandising within designated areas to ensure a positive customer experience.

The position is a temporary assignment that aligns with peak seasons and new store openings. The role emphasizes fast-paced teamwork, accurate transactions, and adherence to safety standards while contributing to a welcoming shopping

Qualifications

• Prior merchandise receiving, handling and stocking experience in retail or warehouse settings preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Legible handwriting and good verbal and written communication skills required.
• Physical activities include frequent lifting up to 35 lbs and moving throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Operate cash register, process transactions, assist customers with inquiries and locating items.
• Promote store initiatives such as donations, loyalty programs and offers.
• Maintain displays, restock areas, and ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Unload deliveries and prepare products for the sales floor.
• Set up and move fixtures safely as needed.
• Collaborate with team and communicate opportunities for improvement to leadership.
• Follow safety protocols and keep the store clean and organized.
