Job summary

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is seeking a guest-first, hospitality-focused Restaurant Crew Member to support the Treetops Restaurant by delivering friendly, efficient, and welcoming service to every guest.

Crew Members play a key role in creating positive dining experiences by assisting across a variety of restaurant operations, including daily food preparation, setting up service and cooking areas, cash register operations, bussing, and maintaining clean, safe, and inviting dining

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Available to work up to 24 hours each week during the summer season.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours.
• Outgoing and engaging personality.
• Ability to work outside.
• Able to communicate clearly.
• Candidates may be asked to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test, with a valid driver’s license as applicable.
• Food Handler Permit required or obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in a high-traffic restaurant setting.
• Operate POS systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with daily food preparation and setup.
• Maintain clean, safe dining spaces and dining surfaces.
• Support co-workers through bussing and restocking as needed.
• Adhere to health department rules for food service.
