Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium seeks an enthusiastic Assistant Manager of Concessions to lead multiple concession locations with a guest‑first focus.

You will coach frontline teams, oversee daily operations, and ensure hospitality, quality products, and clean environments across the Zoo’s dining venues. Strong leadership and food service expertise are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, coaching, and development skills.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service in high volume settings.
• Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, staff, and service flow.
• Ability to lead across multiple concession locations and shift priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead concession operations with focus on guest experience and hospitality standards.
• Develop frontline leaders and ensure consistent training across locations.
• Monitor KPIs such as sales, labor, waste, and product availability.
• Coach staff to anticipate guest needs and maintain service at peak times.
• Ensure food safety, cash handling, and POS controls are followed.
• Collaborate with directors and supervisors to optimize staffing and operations.
