Job summary

TaxAct, a Taxwell company, is seeking a remote, seasonal TaxAct Xpert to assist individuals with federal and state tax returns. You will provide expert guidance, review calculations, and respond to customer inquiries through online software and communication tools.

Required credentials (EA or CPA) and active PTIN, plus 3+ years of federal tax preparation experience. English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing federal individual income tax returns for others.
• Active Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Active PTIN required.
• Experience in a call-center environment is a plus.
• Experience with TaxAct software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Explain tax rules in everyday language for federal and state returns.
• Troubleshoot tax questions and provide accurate tax advice.
• Perform tax research using reliable sources.
• Review tax calculations and ensure accuracy in the online software.
• Interact with customers via video and audio tools to deliver a positive experience.
