Job summary

The City of Delray Beach seeks an energetic recreation program supervisor to plan and coordinate activities at designated facilities for diverse age groups, including special needs participants. You will supervise, ensure safety, and complete incident reports while assisting with maintenance and field trips.

Responsibilities include crisis drills, emergency procedures, and driving a recreation van on trips.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 18+ years old at application.
• Six months of verifiable experience in childcare, recreation programming, or related field.
• Valid Florida driver's license with good driving record; CPR/First Aid/ AED within 30 days of hire.
• Knowledge of Logic Pro 10 for positions at 505 Teen Center Recording Studio.
• Background screening as required by Florida Care Provider standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise recreational activities, events, and field trips for all ages.
• Supervise participants indoors and outdoors, including individuals with special needs.
• Maintain a safe environment and complete injury/incident reports as required.
• Conduct Crisis and Fire Drills and other emergency preparedness procedures.
• Assist with routine facility maintenance and operate a recreation van when needed.
• Foster positive relations with employees and the public; work four mandatory events.
