Job summary

Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa is seeking a seasonal Recreation Intern for January to May 2027. You will oversee craft bar, pool and beach rentals experiences, supervise attendants, and engage guests to create memorable vacation moments.

Responsibilities include reservations, daily program execution, and assisting with team meetings and trainings. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive company vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 100 lbs as part of duties.
• Exhibits friendly, motivated attitude and guest-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Open and close procedures for camp room and craft bar.
• Take guest reservations for camp and craft experiences.
• Host and assist execution of daily craft offerings and themes.
• Demonstrate creativity, crowd management, and enthusiasm.
• Handle guest complaints with courage and confidence.
• Supervise attendants and act as coach/mentor aligned with company culture.
• Organize group recreation events and holiday activities.
• Assist in preparing schedules and monthly team trainings.
• Serve at welcome desks to elevate guest experience.
• Inspect areas daily for cleanliness, safety, and organization.
