Job summary

The City of Concord is seeking Seasonal Maintenance Laborers to assist in Parks, Streets, Sewer, and Building maintenance. Positions are part-time/seasonal, limited to 960 hours per fiscal year, and provide no benefits.

Under supervision, you will perform litter pickup, restroom cleaning, graffiti abatement, leaf/debris removal, and public outreach, with duties assigned by Parks Maintenance, Streets Maintenance, Sewer Maintenance, and Building Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of high school, or the equivalent.
• Six months of experience performing work involving the general public.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License by time of employment and maintenance of a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Litter/trash pick-up, restroom cleaning and general maintenance.
• Leaf/debris pick-up, graffiti abatement and public outreach.
• Assist in parks, streets, sewer and building maintenance as assigned.
• Follow safety practices and work under direct supervision or independently as required.
