Job summary

The City of Tukwila is hiring Preschool Recreation Leaders for its preschool program. You will assist the teacher with daily tasks and help implement lesson plans and activities in a supportive classroom setting.

This seasonal, part-time position runs 8:45 am–12:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with roughly 20 hours per week and a maximum of 1040 hours per year. A High School Diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong interest and ability to lead activities in art, sports and games for preschoolers.
• Experience with preschool programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with general supervision of preschool programs and activities.
• Safeguards participants and maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Oversees use of equipment and supplies.
• Completes forms, reports and information for staff.
• Enforces rules and helps with planning preschool events and activities.
