Job summary

The City of Tukwila Parks & Recreation Department seeks energetic Youth ASAP Recreation Leaders to guide kindergarten through 5th grade after school. You'll help create a welcoming, safe environment with enriching activities, crafts, games, and group projects.

Shifts run Mon-Fri from school dismissal until 6:00 p.m., August through June, up to 1,040 hours per year. No benefits; seasonal/hourly position; opportunity to build leadership skills and positive memories for youth.

Qualifications

• Experience or familiarity with youth program curriculum and policies is preferred.
• Ability to work the afternoons Monday–Friday and attend staff meetings.
• Bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise afterschool youth programs and ensure safety.
• Organize activities, games, and enrichment experiences.
• Help plan daily activities and events.
• Maintain equipment and facility cleanliness.
• Collaborate with staff and other youth workers as needed.
