Job summary

The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Class Instructor in Fine Arts (Non-Perm) to plan, instruct, and lead pottery classes for the public. You will teach techniques, maintain studio safety and inventory, prepare materials, set up and clean spaces, and provide excellent customer service to participants and families.

• Education: 6 months Post-High School
• Work Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
• Equivalency: Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis

Responsibilities

• Conducts instruction in pottery for fee-based classes
• Assists in securing and maintaining studio equipment and inventories
• Prepares instructional materials and supplies; sets up and cleans up the room
• Explains and demonstrates use of apparatus and techniques
• Demonstrates movement techniques for proficiency
• Demonstrates positive customer service with participants and staff
