Beam Living in New York, NY is seeking a Seasonal Porter to help maintain a safe, clean building for residents on site. You will perform janitorial duties across stairwells, lobby, laundry rooms, and entrances while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience, valid NY driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to respond to emergencies. The hourly rate is $22.41 with benefits and growth opportunities.

As a Seasonal Porter on the Satiation team, you’ll trouble shoot and make improvements to the place our residents call home.

What you will do:

• Maintain a safe and clean building and property.
• Perform janitorial duties to maintain stairwells, common areas such as hallways, laundry rooms, front entrances, elevators and lobby to ensure premises are clean.
• Provide excellent customer service to our residents. You represent the company and our core values.
• Receive deliveries, unpack and store maintenance equipment and materials
• Assist superintendent as directed
• Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor.

What you should have:

• 0-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Reliability: we need you to be here for the 90 days this position runs.
• Proper photo identification and work authorization paperwork.
• Valid violation-free New York State driver’s license that must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
• Astrong desireto make a positive impact on the lives of others

• A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day
• A validDriver’s License must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
• Ability to use tablet-based work order program to complete assigned work orders
• Basic — Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Able to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Overtime is available and required in emergency situations
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).
