Job summary

State of Indiana's INDOT Fort Wayne Sub-District seeks a seasonal Shop/Parts Room Clerk to help source repair parts for Snow Fleet, Rotary and Heavy Equipment in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform parts counts, pickup and delivery, and spot counts across multiple locations, working with the shop supervisor to maximize equipment uptime.

This 180-day seasonal role pays $18.00 per hour; benefits are not offered. Equal opportunity employer.

Role Overview:

This seasonal position will directly support all 4 Parts Room clerks in the following ways:

Ensuring the timely sourcing of primary repair parts for Snow Fleet, Rotary, and Heavy Equipment within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The Shop Parts Room Clerk plays a vital role in supporting efficient vehicle repairs and collaborating effectively with partners across multiple departments. Working closely with the shop supervisor, this position directly contributes to maximizing equipment uptime and maintaining the reliability of all fleet assets. The success of this role is essential to meeting operational timelines and delivering the annual operations work plan on schedule.

This seasonal position will also help our inventory and asset management team in the following capacities:

• Help perform Parts Room counts at all 4 Parts Room locations.
• Pick-up, and deliver parts from various locations
• Execute spot counts at 17 different locations District Wide

Location:
This position is with INDOT's Fort Wayne Sub-District.

Pay Rate:
This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00.
