Job summary

Pepsi of Worcester & Windham is seeking a merchandiser to stock and rotate products on shelves, displays and in coolers across large volume stores in the Worcester MA and Windham CT areas. The role involves lifting cases, moving product from storage to sales floor, and using hand trucks and pallet jacks as needed.

This position requires Saturday and Sunday availability, physical work, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass background check, drug screening and physical.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean three-year driving record.
• Must be able to think critically when issues arise.
• Comfortable with navigating Microsoft apps and Windows 10 / iOS.
• Previous experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with product in assigned accounts.
• Rotate product in the backroom and on shelf.
• Transport products to and from backroom to shelf location.
• Use equipment (e.g. U Boats, pallet jacks, hand trucks) to transport products.
• Keep back-room stock in neat and orderly condition.
• Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi management.
• Follow merchandising standards set forth by Pepsi policy.
• Deliver customer service and build rapport with customers.
• Ability to operate independently and unsupervised.

About the role

Pepsi of Worcester & Windham is a family-owned and operated independent Pepsi franchise in operation since 1956. We service the greater Worcester County, MA and Windham County, CT areas.

The position is responsible for merchandising within large volume stores (Grocery, Mass Merch, etc.) This includes stocking and rotating product on shelves, displays and in coolers, organizing and rotating product in storage rooms, and moving product from storage to sales floor. This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing and pulling cases weighing from 10-40 pounds per case repeatedly over an 8-12-hour work period, as well as bending, reaching and squatting while merchandising and moving products.
