Job summary

Pepsi of Worcester & Windham is seeking a hardworking Merchandiser to stock and rotate products in large volume stores across MA and CT. This on-site role involves lifting 10–40 lb cases, setting up displays, and moving stock from backroom to floor with equipment like pallet jacks.

You will ensure shelves look appealing and meet Pepsi standards. Applicants should be at least 18, have a HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and pass background, physical, and drug screening.

Job description

Pepsi of Worcester & Windham is a family-owned and operated independent Pepsi franchise in operation since 1956. We service the greater Worcester County, MA and Windham County, CT areas.

About the role:

This position is responsible for merchandising within large volume stores (Grocery, Mass Merchandising, etc.). This includes stocking and rotating product on shelves, displays and in coolers, organizing and rotating product in storage rooms, and moving product from storage to sales floor. This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing and pulling cases weighing from 10-40 pounds per case repeatedly over a 10–12-hour work period, as well as bending, reaching and squatting while merchandising and moving products.

What you'll do:

PRIMARYACCOUNTABILITIES

• *Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with product in assigned accounts
• *Rotate product in the backroom and on shelf
• *Transport products to and from backroom to shelf location
• *Use equipment (e.g. U Boats, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) to transport products
• *Keep back-room stock in neat and orderly condition
• *Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi management
• *Follow merchandising standards set forth by Pepsi policy
• *Deliver customer service (e.g. communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs, etc.)
• *Ability to work independently and unsupervised

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• *18 Yearsor Older
• *High School Diploma or GED
• *Pass background check, physical and drug screening
• *Must have reliable transportation
• *Valid driver’s license
• *Clean three-year driving record
• *Proof of insurance
• *Previous experience is preferred, but not necessary

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

• *Working for a retail business or grocery store (e.g., understanding store operations, knowing the backroom and inventory, stocking aisles and shelves, etc.)
• *Moving products within a store (e.g., safely stacking and moving products on equipment such as a u-boat, hand truck/dolly and/or breakdown, etc.)
• *Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out of stocks and out of date products, etc.)
• *Managing backroom/stock room inventory (e.g., organizing pallets, stacking and storing inventory or products, etc.)
• *Serving customers (handling customer complaints, responding to customer requests, or meeting customer needs)
