Job summary

Payson City is seeking a Ballpark Maintenance Seasonal Worker to perform routine grounds maintenance and field care for athletic facilities. Under supervision, you will use common tools and equipment to complete skilled tasks and support community events.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, field prep, and assisting with setup for services and events. Applicants should be able to lift and work outdoors in varied weather conditions and have a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in care and maintenance of parks or athletic fields preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license; Utah license within 60 days of hire.
• Know-how of park grounds maintenance tools and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and mowers in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic fields by mowing, edging, trimming, and clearing clippings.
• Operate a variety of mowers and field equipment to keep fields in good condition.
• Prepare fields by dragging, chalking, watering, and setting bases.
• Water, prune, weed, renovate and fertilize grass and plants as needed.
• Assist in setting up community services and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
