Job summary

Adams County Colorado is seeking a Seasonal Parks Worker I – Grounds to perform a variety of duties in the maintenance of parks, trails, and related facilities.

This temporary role includes turf and landscape upkeep, operation of grounds equipment, and adherence to safety standards. The position also involves assisting with events and public inquiries, with a focus on timely, quality park maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or related outdoor work.
• Ability to read and write at a level necessary for job performance.
• Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain one.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform turf maintenance duties (watering, mowing, weeding, trimming, fertilizing).
• Maintain shrub and flower beds; plant, water, fertilize and maintain landscaped areas.
• Operate grounds maintenance vehicles and equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain play equipment and related park facilities; repair as needed.
• Assist with setup for special events and respond to public inquiries.
