Job summary

The City of Orlando’s Transportation Department is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Worker for parking facilities. This part-time role performs unskilled and semi-skilled tasks such as cleaning, painting, and basic repairs in downtown parking garages, including operating pressure washers and small power equipment.

Average hours up to 30 per week, with some weekends, nights and holidays. A valid Florida driver license is required, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to work without close supervision once tasks are learned.
• Ability to walk/stand for extended periods in hot and humid conditions.
• Valid Florida driver license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks in City parking facilities.
• Operate power equipment including pressure washers and small tools.
• Load and unload trucks with tools and materials for job sites.
• Clean and maintain parking facilities, restrooms and common areas.
