Job summary

SP+ is seeking a Special Events Supervisor in Chicago to oversee parking operations at the UNITED CENTER location. The role requires supervising staff, ensuring proper cash handling and transactions, maintaining order, and coordinating with law enforcement and security personnel.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be ready for a cashier-friendly environment. The position involves daily inspections, incident reporting, and occasional substitution for other roles,

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Cashier or parking experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions.
• License: valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Verify shift transactions against cashier's money on hand during bank drops.
• Respond to customer service issues and resolve on the spot.
• Maintain order in assigned lot.
• Maintain relationships with police department and security personnel.
• Supervise employees and liaison between employees and management.
• Count vehicles on location during shift.
• Maintain neat appearance and uniform before and during shifts.
• Report policy violations or hazards to managers.
• Troubleshoot minor issues with revenue control equipment.
• Complete daily inspections and other required documentation.
• Assist with cleanup of debris, spills, etc.
• Substitute for any position as needed.
• Know the garage layout and major streets/landmarks.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
