Job summary

The Town of Acton, MA invites applications for a Seasonal Park Steward to join the Parks and Recreation team at NARA Park. You will support daily park operations, assist with maintenance, rentals, and event support, and help ensure a welcoming, safe environment for all visitors.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have strong public-service skills, and bring experience in parks or related operations. First Aid/CPR/AED certification is preferred, and familiarity with landscaping tools is helpful at

Job description

The Town of Acton is seeking a Seasonal Park Steward to join the Parks and Recreation team! This role will support the daily operation of NARA Park by assisting with park maintenance, operations supervision, rentals, grounds monitoring, customer service, and event support. The Park Steward plays a key role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and well-managed park environment for all users and maintains a visible staff presence throughout the parks to ensure that park safety rules and Town policies are followed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
• Experience in parks, recreation, event operations, and customer service preferred.
• Current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
• Familiarity with tools, landscaping equipment, and general maintenance preferred .

Starting Pay Rate

$19.50/ hour
