Job description

Salary Rate: $14.10 per hour (up to 600 hours per year or 120 days per season).

Eligible part-time employees may receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. Click here for details.

General Statement of Duties

This position primarily involves custodial maintenance of buildings and park structures. The role mainly entails working late-night hours during special events at the Environmental Discovery Center Banquet Room. Regular Friday and Saturday night availability is essential.

Essential Duties

• Perform grounds maintenance around picnic areas.
• Empty trash barrels.
• Pick up litter using a prod or by hand.
• Mow and trim grass.
• Maintain and weed flower beds.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.

Tools & Equipment Used

The role requires the frequent use of hand tools for raking, digging, pruning, and leveling; custodial tools such as brooms, mops, and toilet plungers; landscape equipment; basic construction tools like hammers, saws, tape measures, and carpenter squares. Additional tools may include those used for turf maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and cement finishing. Use of personal computers, word processing software, phones, radios, calculators, and copiers is minimal.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
