Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Park Maintenance Worker to support daily park operations for Park Region 2. You will work outdoors, maintaining trails, facilities, and natural areas, using basic tools and equipment and performing custodial and repair tasks.

The role is seasonal and full-time, running roughly March through November 2026, with no healthcare benefits. Telework is not available; work week includes holidays and weekends. Residency in PA is required.

Qualifications

• One year of laboring work experience with use of tools or equivalent.
• Able to perform essential job functions and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• May require basic trade skills and familiarity with park maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain park grounds including mowing, brush clearance, and litter pickup.
• Operate equipment such as dump trucks and small tractors to complete tasks.
• Perform custodial work: clean buildings, restrooms, and trash areas.
• Assist with repairs using basic trade tools to improve park facilities.
• Support habitat work and invasive plant management as part of park operations.
