Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker at Laurel Cavern State Park. You will support maintenance, construction, and daily care of park facilities and natural areas, working outdoors and interacting with visitors.

This seasonal, full-time position involves operating park equipment, performing building and grounds upkeep, and assisting with basic carpentry and painting tasks, as well as drainage work.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction.
• Ability to perform essential job tasks in an outdoor park setting.
• Demonstrated safety awareness and basic carpentry skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance Work: Carry out tasks using tools and equipment for building and grounds upkeep
• Care For Facilities: Clean buildings, restrooms, and park areas to maintain safe conditions
• Operate Equipment: Use mowers, UTVs, chainsaws, and other tools for various park duties
• Support Construction Tasks: Assist with repairs, carpentry work, painting, and basic building projects
• Maintain Trails And Roads: Clear debris, repair small structures, and clean drains and culverts
