REI Co-op is seeking a Store Sales Specialist to engage customers, share knowledgeable recommendations, and drive the 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. You will help keep merchandise organized on the floor and support transactions, memberships, and service offerings.

Bring your passion for the outdoors, strong communication skills, and ability to work a flexible schedule. This is a locally focused position at our Norwalk, CT store and ties to REI’s inclusive, outdoor lifestyle mission.

Qualifications

• Store retail experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to accept feedback and consider different viewpoints.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions about products, memberships, and special tickets sales.
• Maintain visual standards with store management and merchandising teams.
• Engage in REI Sales & Service Training and promote REI goods and services.
• Support store pick-up, including receiving and processing products.
• Follow REI loss prevention and safety procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
