Job summary

Corto Olive, LP is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Technician at our Stockton facility to perform quality and compositional analyses of olives and olive oil. The role involves collecting samples from the mill, conducting routine testing, and reporting results to the lab and production teams.

This on-site position requires flexibility to work multiple shifts during the harvest window, with up to 12 hours per shift and up to six days a week.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to execute proper training protocols for cleanliness standards.
• At least 2 years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, inspecting, and testing olive fruit, olive paste, and olive oil samples to evaluate quality, composition, and compliance with established standards.
• Performing routine laboratory analyses, including oil content, moisture, and other bench-top analytical tests.
• Accurately recording, organizing, and reporting test results in a timely manner.
• Assisting with Research & Development initiatives related to olive oil production, processing, and quality improvement.
• Supporting the calibration, verification, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaborating with Technical Services, Production, and Quality teams to support operational and quality objectives.
• Assisting with sample preparation, handling, and storage in accordance with laboratory procedures.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
