Staffmark is hiring a Non-CDL Yard Hostler in Bakersfield, CA. Pay rate is $25.00 per hour with an early morning start and a schedule that includes Sundays and potential Saturdays, plus 8 hours of pay per scheduled shift.

Responsibilities include moving trailers with a yard goat, coupling/uncoupling, and performing safety inspections. CDL is not required; valid license and clean record required. Benefits include weekly pay and EAP.

Qualificações

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable yard hostler/yard jockey experience within the past 3 years.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate yard hostling equipment safely in confined areas.
• Safety-minded with the ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Operate a yard goat to move trailers within the yard facility.
• Transport trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking locations.
• Safely couple and uncouple trailers as needed.
• Perform pre-trip equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Follow dispatch instructions, yard traffic patterns, and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with operations and yard personnel.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient trailer yard.
• Complete approximately 10-15 trailer moves per shift in a low-volume yard environment.
• Support daily yard operations while maintaining productivity and safety standards.
