Job summary

Oxbow in the Snoqualmie Valley seeks a Seasonal Meadow & Landscape Technician to support the maintenance of native plant meadow gardens and general grounds onsite. You will work under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Grounds & Gardens and collaborate with the Landscaping Lead to install and tend seasonal meadow and landscape needs that showcase the Pacific Northwest’s native flora.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of native meadow plants, landscaping, ecological restoration, or hands-on gardening.
• Interest in native plants and creating beautiful, approachable landscapes.
• Knowledge of safe operation of motorized equipment and hand tools.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions in grounds maintenance.
• Attention to detail, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to ask questions when directions are unclear and to communicate task completion.
• Valid Washington State driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Cares for existing meadow and native landscapes: hand weeding, irrigation, soil movement, mulching, and plant installation.
• Performs basic grounds maintenance: mowing, weed-whacking, lawn care, pruning.
• Clears brush from trails, pathways, driveways, and roads.
• Operates and maintains equipment, tools, and vehicles as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
