Oxbow is seeking a Seasonal Meadow & Landscape Technician to support native meadow gardens and general grounds at our Snoqualmie Valley site. You will work under supervision with the Landscaping Lead to install and tend seasonal meadow and landscape features, highlighting Pacific Northwest biodiversity.

  • Background check required; ability to work some weekends and events.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the Site Operations team, the Seasonal Meadow & Landscape Technician provides support in the maintenance and care of Oxbows native plant meadow gardens as well as assisting in routine care for Oxbow’s general grounds. Under the supervision of the Assistant Manager of Grounds & Gardens, the Seasonal Meadow & Landscape Technician works with the Landscaping Lead to install and tend to the seasonal meadow and landscape needs around the site that highlight the beauty of the Snoqualmie Valley and the diversity of native plants of the Pacific Northwest.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Primary job responsibility is caring for the existing meadow and native plant landscapes includes hand weeding, irrigation, soil movement, mulching, and plant installation.
  • Role also includes basic grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed-whacking, lawn care, and pruning.
  • Clearing brush from trails, pathways, driveways, and roads.
  • Properly operate and maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
CORE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Knowledge of native plant meadow species, landscaping, ecological restoration, or hands‑on gardening.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for native plants and incorporating them into beautiful, approachable landscapes.
  • Knowledge of the safe use and maintenance of motorized equipment and hand/power tools used in grounds maintenance.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to groundskeeping and maintenance work.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently, multitask, and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback.
  • Willingness to ask questions when directions are unclear and communicate when tasks are completed.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of a background check as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include occasional weekends and Oxbow events, depending on the seasonal and annual event calendar.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 + pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, stoop, and work close to the ground for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods over uneven terrain.
  • Ability to push, pull, and move equipment, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to safely operate motorized equipment and tools.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and sun exposure.
  • Ability to climb ladders and navigate slopes or uneven ground, as needed.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time, seasonal, non-exempt (hourly) position with a 3.5-month term ending on December 11, 2026. The pay rate is $25.50 - $26.50 per hour. Oxbow offers competitive benefits, including paid sick time, and all additional benefits will be reviewed with the employee before or upon their first day.
