Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring kitchen cooks for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 at our mountain properties. Starting wage ranges from $21.25 to $26.57 per hour, with full-time hours available and no housing provided. Must be 18+ and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the kitchen team, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and preparing ingredients for service. Culinary degree preferred; ServSafe certification is a plus, with 1–2 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant kitchen experience; supervisory kitchen experience preferred.
• ServSafe certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand the use and operation of kitchen equipment and assist training other kitchen staff.
• Adhere to standards for facility and food preparation, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items and ingredients.
• Prep ingredients and maintain par levels to minimize waste.
• Maintain inventory using FIFO and monitor food waste for reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
