The New York Botanical Garden is seeking a Parts-time Membership Representative to handle member inquiries by phone and email with a friendly, professional approach. You will promote memberships, update records, and support onsite programs while ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to policies.

This role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and teamwork in a busy visitor-facing environment, with weekend and December peak scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior office or customer service experience; some college-level coursework preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of computers, typing, and data entry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming Member inquiries by phone and email, including questions about Membership benefits, Garden programming, hours, and directions; transfer calls to appropriate departments as necessary.
• Update Member records in databases as needed.
• Engage with Garden visitors to promote Membership and explain benefits to generate onsite Membership sales during peak sales periods including weekends, holidays, and school breaks.
• Provide general administrative and customer service support and perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist with onsite member programs as needed.
• Conduct all transactions in compliance with New York Botanical Garden policies and procedures.
