Job summary

GHT Limited in Arlington, VA is launching a Seasonal Mechanical Engineer program for Summer 2027. It targets students who have completed at least one year of mechanical engineering coursework and will assign projects in Base Building, Interiors, or OES studios.

Participants will develop Revit-based design skills through in-house training and basic engineering tasks supervised by senior engineers, with prospects for future internships or full-time roles based on performance.

Our LEED Gold certified office is close to the Ballston Metro and in the heart of Arlington, Virginia. GHT hosts a Seasonal Summer Program which is designed for individuals who have a minimum of one year completed in pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree. Seasonal Engineers will be assigned to the Base Building, Interiors, or Operations & Energy Services (OES) Studio.

GHT hosts a Seasonal Summer Program which is designed for individuals who have a minimum of one year completed in pursuit of an electrical engineering degree. Seasonal Engineers will be assigned to the Base Building or Interiors or Operations & Energy Services Studios.

About the Program

Individuals selected for the program will acquire a working knowledge of Revit-based design with in-house training and understanding of all GHT’s standards, details and computer systems for engineering. They will perform assignments requiring application of basic engineering fundamentals and design/draft assignments. All work will be closely directed, supervised, and reviewed by senior designers or engineers with an opportunities to work with a variety of teams on several projects. Successful candidates frequently are offered future internships and full-time positions.

Candidates are encouraged to take the Engineer in Training exam. They are also encouraged to be active members or attend general meetings of technical societies related to their field of competency (ASHRAE, IES, ASPE, NSPE, etc.).

Pay range is estimated for the coming year and assumes being at least a rising junior in an ABET-accredited program.
