The City of Golden is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Worker in Horticulture to assist in maintaining gardens and public landscaping. Responsibilities include planting, weed control, and operating small equipment. The ideal candidate will have gardening experience, customer service skills, and a valid driver's license.

As a Seasonal Maintenance Worker for Horticulture, you will assist the Horticulture Technician with maintenance of the City’s perennial gardens, annual plant displays, and streetscapes.
This will include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Planting, transplanting, and maintaining planted material to include hand watering, deadheading, pruning, etc.
Mulching garden areas, performing weed control, and ensuring garden beds and surrounding areas are free of trash and debris.
Maintenance of traffic islands, medians, and rights of way.
Occasional Park related maintenance, including maintenance and repair of irrigation systems, and maintenance and placement of hardscaping.
Operation of small gas-powered equipment and city vehicles.
Provide positive and professional customer service to all residents and visitors.
May work with volunteer groups and/or projects.
Other duties as assigned.
