The U.S. National Park Service is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform recurring building and utility maintenance duties and support journeymen at the George Washington Birthplace National Monument. The season typically runs November to April, with an anticipated entry on duty in December 2027.

Applicants must meet essential job elements and pass a screen-out evaluation. Experience with maintenance tasks and ability to read instructions and blueprints are important.

Formación

• Screen-out: ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, including blueprint reading.
• Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair, and related materials.
• Technical practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) and use of measuring instruments.

Responsabilidades

• Perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance tasks and operation duties.
• Assist journeymen and higher graded maintenance workers as needed.
• Adhere to safety and standard operating procedures during maintenance tasks.
