Job summary

The U.S. National Park Service is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform recurring building and utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers.

This seasonal role typically runs during the April–November period, with anticipated entry on duty in April 2027. Applicants should be prepared for variable scheduling based on weather, project needs, and funding.

Qualifications

• SCREEN OUT: ability to perform the work without more than normal supervision.
• Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, including blueprints.
• Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment assembly and repair.
• Knowledge of materials used in maintenance tasks.
• Technical practices requiring precision and judgment.
• Ability to use measuring instruments.
