Job summary

Tampa Bay Downs, inc. seeks a seasonal maintenance worker October through May 15 to support facilities with painting, plumbing and general repair tasks.

Responsibilities include interior/exterior touch-ups, replacing valve seals, repairing faucets, fixing leaks, piping sections, and operating power tools. Lifting 40–50 lbs and standing most of the day are required; background checks are conducted after interviews.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• General knowledge of equipment and tools.
• Background checks will be conducted after interviews.

Responsibilities

• Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
• Replace or repair flush valves, faucet and toilet washers.
• Stop leaks in joints by tightening.
• Replace short lengths of pipe; clean clogged pipe lines using a snake, closet auger, force cup, or chemicals.
• Operate power tools.
