Tampa Bay Downs, inc. seeks a seasonal maintenance worker October through May 15 to support facilities with painting, plumbing and general repair tasks.
Responsibilities include interior/exterior touch-ups, replacing valve seals, repairing faucets, fixing leaks, piping sections, and operating power tools. Lifting 40–50 lbs and standing most of the day are required; background checks are conducted after interviews.
Must be able to work multiple jobs throughout day. Needs to be able to lift 40-50lbs. Must be able to be on their feet most of the day. Needs general knowledge of equipment and tools. Does touch-up painting on interior and exterior surfaces. Replaces or repairs defective flush valves, faucet and toilet washers and packing. Stops leaks in joints by tightening. Replaces short lengths of pipe; cleans clogged pipe lines using a snake, closet auger, force cup, or chemicals. Operates power tools.
